Both Teams to Score or BTTS betting as it’s now commonly known online, is a method of football betting. It’s been around at bookmakers for since the dawn of High St and online betting, and is still going strong as a fans favourite. There are also a few new options to Both teams to score betting market, all of which will be identified and explained here.
Best Both Teams to Score Betting Sites
There are plenty of online betting sites offering our favourite bet, but of those available we thought the bookmakers listed above stand out from the crowd. This is due to either the odds or betting bonuses available to existing customers.
What Does BTTS Mean?
If it’s just a term you’ve heard mentioned and never placed a bet, you’ll be wondering what does BTTS mean. Rather than the conventional Win-Draw-Lose betting all you need is for both teams to score, or not as the case may be; simple really! The hard work comes in attempting to pick out the likelihood of the occurrence when selecting your BBTS accumulator.
How to Place a BTTS Bet
In order to play in the BTTS betting market, you have to just select yes if you think both teams will score; or no if you think they will fail to find the back of the net. You can mix and match these selections and add them to your acca as you see fit.
There are many positives to the BTTS market. One of which is that your interest in a football match can go right to the very end of a match. So if a team is leading 5-0 and you have both teams to score, then there is always a chance of the winning team slacking off and conceding a goal; as the game draws to a close.
Tips for Both Teams to Score Betting Acca
So how do you go about making your selections. Below is a method for how we pick out our BTTS selections;
- Pick out the lowest 8 teams that have conceded the most goals
- If any of those teams are playing each other add them to the betslip with BTTS “Yes”
- Pick out the top 8 teams that have conceded the least goals
- If any of those teams are playing each other add them to the betslip with BTTS “No”
Another great thing with this type of bet is that the odds are reasonable. If we work on 8/11 on a match which is usually a good gauge you are looking at the following returns;
- 2 selections = 1.98/1
- 3 selections = 4.15/1
- 4 selections = 7.90/1
- 5 selections = 14.37/1
As you can see the returns build up very quickly and the chances of both teams to score, although variable are in our opinion favourably stacked to the odds available.
Different Types of BTTS Betting
On top of offering a variety of betting odds, there are also variations to the BTTS market.
You can have both teams to score and win, which will also enhance your odds. For example; if Liverpool were playing Arsenal and you fancied them to win but also Arsenal to score, you would select Liverpool and Yes in the Match Result and Both Teams to Score market. This enhances the standard Liverpool to win odds usually in the region of 4/1+. You can do this for the draw too if you’re feeling extra confident.
Another popular betting option is the BTTS Over/Under. This bet combines Both Teams to Score with the Over/Under market, which is based on the number of goals to be scored per game.
Our final option, and potentially most lucrative, is also a BTTS and Both Halves bet. This requires both teams to score in both halves, although very tough to find this can be a very rewarding method at the prices. But as with most betting types with high returns, the likelihood of landing your selection are much slimmer.
You may have gathered by now, but we don’t provide betting tips. This is mainly due to our commitment to promote responsible gambling, as if we happen to hit a losing streak we would hate to think you were following our tips and betting more than you could afford. But we can highly recommend you check out the betting sites we feature, as they likely offer you everything you want from your BTTS betting.
